Canadian Media’s Conservative Project Fails to Land
Southern billionaires should ask for their money back.
J.D. Vance, the vice president of the MAGA oligarch administration, thinks Watergate would not happen anymore.
“I think Nixon’s historical legacy is enjoying a bit of a renaissance, and deservedly so. I joked that if Watergate happened tomorrow, it would be like a 12-hour news story. The idea that it took down a presidency is crazy.”
Have to agree with him.
There is a reason billionaires kept buying social media companies. There is a reason billionaires keep buying media companies now. There is a reason some professors in Canada and the United States spend so much time every day taking any effort by any government other than the right-wing ones and wrapping it in lies.
Think of the time it takes. Every day, these people do this.
Why?
To make sure that if Watergate happened tomorrow, it would become a 12-hour story.
But is it really working?
In parts, yes. But certainly not to the extent the entire ecosystem wants us to believe. I sincerely hope Canadian media reads the numbers. The Washington Post went from a $77 million loss in 2023, to a $100 million loss in 2024, to more than $100 million in 2025.
For the billionaires, maybe it is worth the cost. But ten years from now? They will buy something else, and you will be out of business.
Things are getting worse for the MAGA replica ecosystem being built in Canada.
Nothing seems to be working.
In the last six quarters, Conservatives raised roughly $28 million more than the Liberals, lost the election, and then saw their support drop from 41% to the current 35%.
This was a group attack, right?
Suit-wearing conservatives are doing it every day. Paid social media influencers are doing it every day. American-controlled Canadian media is working at this every day. The party is raising far more money than the party in power, and yet the numbers continue to drop.
That alone should be a fair warning for those in the opposition to change their approach. But it does not look like they have any interest whatsoever.
And it is not as if the government has given them nothing to attack. We are, after all, humans. Finding fault comes naturally to us.
The Conservative Party could go after the government for not being transparent about its plan to buy condos in B.C. and help the housing market. They could demand answers. They could attack the energy ministry for not focusing enough on the renewables market. Canada does have a leadership position in the world. “You are letting it all go” is an easy attack line that would stick.
But that is what a true Conservative Party would do.
Not support oil and gas because billionaire shareholders love it, but support any effort that helps secure the nation’s energy future. That breed is dead. Maybe buried.
Then there is the biggest one of all.
It should have been the Conservatives who attacked the government relentlessly over its decision to buy American weapons.
Think about it. Who is a conservative? One who does not compromise an inch on the nation’s security. Here is a country trying to make Canada the 51st state. So why buy from them?
They could have made the case that Canada should build more of its own systems and stop depending on any outside power. Since that is not possible right away, they should have said no procurement plan can go through without the government spelling out how it intends to develop Canada’s own capacity.
These are not Concis Canada’s positions. Most of you already know where we stand on each one of those questions.
But if the Conservatives had taken these positions, we would have given them respect. The respect an opposition deserves.
Right now, they have earned none.
And neither have the Canadian media houses carrying water for this ecosystem.

Canada’s situation is unique. Federally, the conservatives have not been forming govt. the last Harper govt., was less about conservatism and more about supporting Oligarchs and dismissing science. They have put themselves in a cage and now are afraid to leave it. PP is the perfect example of this. He is criticizing the govt for all talk and no action. If he were judged by his own standards, you would get a clear picture. In his over 20 years in Parliament, he tabled one piece of legislation, which was eventually over ruled by the Courts. So, that is the standard. Over 20 years and no accomplishments! PP lamented the condo buyout in BC and tried to empathize with people who are frustrated as they have no housing. These same people are paying for him to squat in govt housing - fully subsidized. FULLY!!!
Oof. Thank you for this.
After so many years being pummeled with lies I was beginning to forget what true conservatism means.
