It is so important to have your Canadian analysis; it helps counteract the disinformation and provides hope and direction. We are all fortunate that Carney is a capable, ethical statesman and not an inept, corrupt politician. That is making a difference for Canada, but also for the rest of the middle powers (and helps many of us Canadians sleep at night).
I would make "Concis (insert any country name)" part of my daily read b/c your analysis cuts through geopolitical haze like turning on a FLIR...you see the world in wavelengths most others do not.

I had not thought about the loss of USAID for the past few months. Maybe because there are CONSTANTLY so many other atrocities to try to wrap my head around…daily, endless…in any case, now that I’m reminded abt Elon and all the damage he did, I’m just so angry. And I’m sick to my stomach abt no more USAID. The amount of lives affected/lost as a result is numbing.

Throwing the dirt at anything the Carney government attempts is an excellent analogy! I can’t add any further positive comments about your Concis Canada stack.
But for me, it is important to have an “arm’s length” opinion and perspective about Canadian affairs and your articles do that precisely.
The stakes here are becoming clearer—not just for Canada, but for how democratic outcomes are being tested more broadly.
There’s also a structural shift worth noting. With a firm majority mandate now in place, Canada’s position at the negotiating table—on trade, defence, and longer-term commitments—just got meaningfully stronger.
That doesn’t settle the debate. But it does change the ground it’s happening on.
So appreciate your focus on Canada. Carney had one year to show himself and his direction to Canada. We liked what we saw. Now he has the mandate for tough decisions and a longer term horizon
